Breast Augmentation

Breast augmentation, also known as augmentation mammoplasty or “boob job,” is a cosmetic surgical technique that involves using implants or fat to increase the size or improve the shape of breasts.

When implants are used, the implants can be made of sterile silicone or saline. Silicone implants are prefilled with silicone gel and come in predetermined sizes.

On the other hand, saline implants are cigar-shaped, rolled-up, and inflatable shells. During the surgery, the saline implant is inserted into an incision and filled with a sterile saline solution to create the desired breast size.

There is a third implant called “structured” implant. This implant is made of nested elastomer silicone shells with saline between the shells.

When fat is used for breast augmentation, the fat will be removed from one part of the body, cleansed, and injected into the breast.

Many people have contacted us at ChangeMeClicinic seeking our opinion on whether they should do breast augmentation or not. Our answer has always been that if the breast is no longer as before, it may be time to go under the knife to restore it.

Actually, you should think of doing a boob job if you experience decreased breast volume due to pregnancy or weight loss.

Another situation that is qualified for breast augmentation is when you want more symmetrical or rounded breasts. Your surgeon can also advise you consider breast implants to reconstruct your breast after severe breast injury or mastectomy.

Also, augmentation mammoplasty is applicable in correcting congenital disabilities of the breasts and the chest wall.

One category of people we don’t encourage to undergo breast augmentation is women who plan to breastfeed their future babies. According to the Institute of Medicine, women who have had breast implants are three times more likely to have an inadequate milk supply for nursing.

Also, some children born by women who had implants were found to have higher levels of toxins in their blood than children by the same mother born before the implants.

So, these are important issues you must consider if you want to correct your breast defect through implants.

1. Better breast projection and fullness

This is the most obvious benefit. After successful surgery, your breasts will be fuller and perkier. They will sit higher on the chest and make you look more youthful.

2. Your confidence greatly improved

One of the major reasons people come to our clinic is because they have completely lost their self-image and confidence as a result of their deformed breasts. Undergoing this surgery has always been the best option to restore such lost confidence. Many of our clients have reported better relationships with their partners after their successful “boob job.”

3. Another chance to be beautiful again

As a woman, you will agree that your breasts are an essential component of your beauty.  So, when a lady loses her breast to mastectomy or the breasts become saggy due to old age or pregnancy, she is fully aware that she has lost an essential part of her beauty. Breast augmentation has been the single most effective way to restore such lost beauty components.
